Runner of the Month – December 2025
Ladies
For December this member continues to put in maximum effort, as we hear at Parish Notices most weeks. Her parkrun times are tumbling and her achievements are mounting. It’s really easy to think that this progression is expected and “normal” but it takes a real effort to push yourself out of your comfort zone and move from the runner you are today, to a faster, better runner tomorrow. She is an excellent example of how to receive bad news. You can accept it or you can get up and set out with a long-term plan to prove them wrong. The birthday present she got for herself in December was a Bronze Standard at the Boxing Day 5. Whilst awesome, it was a bugger to wrap up.
We look forward to seeing many more achievements throughout 2026.
Our nomination for Runner of the Month for December is Michelle Edwards.

Men
Our Men’s Runner of the Month is a gentleman who may not attend club nights on Tuesdays but is always there offering support at races and TRR events. He is also a keen participant in trail runs and consistently shows great commitment to running.
Since moving into a new 70+ age category, he has already achieved bronze standards at both parkrun and the BD5 – a fantastic accomplishment.
A very well-deserved congratulations to our Men’s Runner of the Month – Paul Graves.
