Runner of the Month – September 2026
Female Winner
This lady has had a fabulous month of running with some great achievements. She ran a great time at the Pleshey Half Marathon to earn herself a Silver Standard.
She has also been chasing down a shorter-distance goal and has been trying to get back under the 25-minute for her Parkrun which she hasn’t done for 6 years. After a few close attempts earlier this month, she finally cracked it last weekend at Maldon Parkrun kindly paced, (or as she said, pushed 😉) by Chris G, and ran a fabulous 24:27 and achieved a well-deserved Gold Standard!
She is a valued member of our run leading team as a RL for Gp2, leads some Thursday sessions and this month she stepped up to lead the mixed session of “The Good, the Bad, and the Lovely.”
Our winner is Stacy Hember!
Male Winner
Some runners know when to pause and after a very sensible break to recover from a nasty dog bite, this man has returned beautifully.
First in his age category at Maldon parkrun on 5th, 19th and 26th September on his grandson’s birthday no less is impressive enough.
But the crowning moment came at Pleshey Half Marathon: a personal best, a silver standard and a county medal, all in a superb 01:53:33.
We all hope we’ll be lacing up at his age! Our inspiring Runner of the Month is Rob King!
