Welcome all! Guest this week,
Welcome our latest new member, Marcus.
Thank you to Phil and his team, and all the members who volunteered Thursday nights M5K.
M5K results.
Simon Peters, My 3rd and final 5k handicap race. I signed up for these back February prior to joining TRR and set my handicap at 29min on line with my latest average Park Run results. Glad to say there has been significant improvements since then. Phil Nicholls and Chris Gardiner said this is the event for PBs and they were right. Would not have been possible without all the help and support from the TRR team so happy with my final race time!! More to come of course:-) PB in 00:21:31
Simon Gallagher, Great event and amazing TRR support all the way round helped me to a first silver standard and 53 seconds off my PB. 00:22:08
Marcus Peters, “Debut appearance as a TRR member in my third race of the Maldon 5k Handicap Series.
Great support from all the volunteers, huge thanks to everyone to get my first standard. Looking forward to many more. 1 step closer to beating the old man!” PB and bronze std 00:22:16

Annabel Marriott, Third time doing this self navigating race, so I set off confident that I knew where I was going. Got lost at mile 5, then got really lost and at one point arrived back somewhere I had been an hour before. Luckily I was running with Sue and Zoe and we managed to get ourselves back on track and kept each other smiling all the way to the end of the now 16 mile route. Thank goodness for What3Words!
Sue Long, Lovely run with Zoe and Annabel. All was going well until 5 miles. We went wrong and ended up doing 16 miles. Disappointedly we missed all the cut of times for the aid stations and cut off time for the half, but luckily our time was allowed. Despite everything I really enjoyed it. My thanks to Zoe and Annabel for helping me round. The last 3 miles were hard.
Annabel, Sue and Zoe finished in 04:30:38
Full.
Rob Hankey, My first trail marathon and longest run. Absolutely loved running with G4 mates! Mark Lawes, Simon Gill, Sean, Vicky, Pete and Simone. All finished together in 5hr 20 min,

Frances Gridley, What an absolutely fabulous route this was and would highly recommend this event! Not really prepared for this distance but really pleased with my time especially having stopped to grab photo opportunities through the SANDRINGHAM estate! I might even enter again next year! Club record and silver std 02:22:55
Museum of power Left or Right Trail, 4 miles.
Sue Long, 2nd event of the weekend. One sharp short shower at the end apart from that it was a nice morning. Lovely route and we didn’t go wrong 🙂 01:08:46
High Easter 10k
Aaron Graves, Though I would try and run my PB pace set in 2019 which was when I last run a 10k race so I managed to run the the first mile on pace but just couldn’t hold on but managed the first 5km in 17:21 and the second 5km in 17:40 on what they say is a flat course? I would say more hilly than flat. 00:35:01
Angela Dellar, “Can’t believe I beat my 2022 PB by over a minute! Thrilled with how I stuck to my race plan and how it paid off. Fourth V55 F on the day (just pipping 5th on the finishing straight 😀)” CR, PB and Gold std 00:48:38
Lorraine Mills, “I’ve wanted to break 50 minutes in a 10k race for a very long time. Thanks Carl for holding me up at the finish, I gave that my all. This one, on Father’s day, was for my dad, my biggest running supporter. He died a few weeks ago.” PB and gold std 00:48:59
Sally Banyard, After witnessing the most awful accident on the way, Lorraine and I were shaken and just feeling grateful on arrival at the start line. Possibly the best thing to do was to race and do what we love, but it did put a new perspective on the race for both of us. Delighted that the VW55 TRR team did not disappoint, Angela blasted her way to a PB & CR (I must have the shortest lived CR ever) and I am so very pleased for her. Lorraine, on a very tough day for her, was so determined and so strong. Thrilled for them both on achieving their gold standards but more delighted that the VW55 ladies category is alive, thriving and ready for more. 00:49:57
Tom Pease, 00:52:43
Mandy Graves, One Minute knocked off my old PB, PB of 00:58:35
