Training This Thursday

  • There is no Thursday training this week, as it would normally have been Race 4 of the Maldon 5k Handicap Series. However, the race has been cancelled. Thank you to everyone who volunteered to support Race 4. A volunteer poll for Race 5 will be posted in the coming days.
  • A note from Rob (Race Director): Following a review of the forecast weather conditions, England Athletics guidance, and the medical provision available for the event, I took the decision to cancel Race 4 of the Maldon 5k Handicap Series. This was not an easy decision, but after carefully assessing the risks, I was not satisfied that the event could proceed safely. As Race Director, my priority is always the welfare of participants, volunteers and officials. I appreciate that this will have been disappointing for runners and volunteers alike. Thank you to everyone who offered their time to support the event. The Maldon 5k series relies on the dedication of its volunteers, and your continued support is greatly appreciated.

  • Great Notley parkrun is celebrating their 12th birthday this Saturday, 27 June 2026. Join Michelle, Rob, and Len for a morning of celebration and fun.
  • Tiptree 10 Volunteers – we are now recruiting volunteers for this year’s Tiptree 10 race on Sunday 11 October 2026. Please join the T10 Volunteer Crew WhatsApp group in the TRR community to let Michelle know you can help.
