We had 36 members running this event.

Runner of the month for April.

Ladies

This club member has been an exemplary example of what can be achieved through focus, dedication and sticking to the plan. Their level of determination led them to adopt a whole new nutrition plan to complement their marathon training. Her parkruns have been pretty cool too, as is the effort she puts in to Tuesday night training most weeks.

To help smash her fundraising goals she did a splendid job of organising the quiz night where she helped raise £845 to share amongst all the London Marathon Charity entrants.

She completed the London Marathon in all smiles and a finish time of 6:00:54

Sarah Conway.

Men

Runner of the month nominations can be for so many reasons, but this individual is all about pushing one’s self to places that they might not have thought possible.

This member got two PBs in April.

The first one smashed their goal! Achieving an incredible time that saw him break the goal he’d set himself by over 80 seconds for a 10k and setting a new PB.

The second one was one of the most incredible performances we’ve seen in the club. At the Maldon 5k series a performance that was one of 5 PBs from club members that evening, but this one set the bar high!

2 seconds off of a Diamond Standard, and a 5k PB of 17:24!!!!!

What this member also does though, is quietly support the club in the background. Looking after the TRR website, supporting with an overview of club results and playing a part in supporting the club’s 5k series as well.

A month of running that is just amazing and so deserving of this award this month is,

Simon “The Gazelle” Gill.
