Valencia Marathon

STEVE HART, It was a run in the memory of my Mum who passed away last week. My Dad wanted me to do it & said my Mum would want me to run too. It was such an emotional day.  My fitness hasn’t been great so I’m pleased with the time tho it’s not important. Missing the sub 4 wasn’t helped by me falling over twice in the last 2 miles including 5 metres from the iconic finish line on the blue carpet. Thanks for your love & support. 04:00:28

ROM November.

A regular volunteer at Markshall park run. And on fire at the moment, at training, xc and road races.

Having run Gold standards, pb’s and club records on consecutive weekends, at Stebbing 10 and Hadleigh 5. This Lady  has push everyone on since joining g3, which she did in her stride. And I’m sure there is a lot more still to come.

Katy Denny.

This gentleman has demonstrated all of his running maturity of late. He’s listened to his body, rested when needed, and dropped down a group when required.

Yet he has managed to get back to form with his parkrun 1st in age group position being reclaimed again! He is frequently in the top 10 on age rating too.

And his life long attitude to healthy living has inspired his children and grandchildren to take part in running too, and he is often seen at xc and parkrun with members of the clan in tow.

He’s been a great addition to the club and a great role model to others for sensible running, that means you get to run for a life time.

Rob King.
