Essex League xc race 5, Ilford.

We field 2 full teams again. The girls finished 4th and the men 5th on the day.

Katy, 20th 28.18 “Great support on the course and brilliant muddy fun!”

Rowena, 32nd 29.00

Simone, 50th 31.10 “Rowena is back! Order has been restored on the XC and she finished ahead of me!  Lots of moaning at the start – this was the foulest XC I have done!!  I felt like Scotty! Then the course came up short and lots of screaming from everyone at the end and I kept the ladies I overtook behind me.  I think they were pretty scared!  Fab TRR support as always 🙂

The girls finished the season in 3rd position in Div 2,  Which means the girls have been promoted to Division 1 for next season!

Dave, 208th 47.06, More mud than Benfleet 15! Hard going through the mud but had a good race. Happy with my time. Great support and encouragement from all the TRR team. Great day!

The men finished the season men joint 4th Div 2. Which means we get to do it all again next year!

Stacy Hember and Allison Peace,  03:36:47″Lovely route, though very muddy and water logged! At times Alison and I were like Bambi on ice! Also I nearly fell into the water at one point, just like Vicar of Dibley, to the amusement of Alison 😂😂The cakes at the end were amazing!”

Sue long, “This was a navigational trail,  Simon and I did just over 14 miles as we went slightly wrong.

I really enjoyed this event, especially listening to Simon swearing most of the way round when he was wading through loads of water and mud 🤣

Last race of the season! Ness xc race 5, at Hadleigh Suffolk this Sunday there is a small chance we could still win the league but we need you to turn up and run please.

TRR PARKRUN GET TOGETHER – March 9th Colchester Castle Parkrun

Getting as many TRR together to run at Colchester Castle Parkrun. It will be great to see as many of you there as possible

Tiptree won the best road race in Essex 2023.

We have now won this 5 times.
