Great Notley
Michelle Edwards,
I did it parkrun at Great Notley 14 months after my accident, it was so good to walk with a few TRR, so a big thank you to Chris & Anna Jayne & Craig, Len, Simone, Katy the children and dogs. Also, a massive thank you to Rob who has been there 24/7 a lot of ups and downs on the way where I felt like giving up but he always encouraged me and told me we would run together again as that’s how we met and we loved our running together. I want to thank the whole club for all their support for all the encouragement and lovely messages I have received thank you all again and hopefully in the near future I will be back. Runner of the month for August.
Ladies,
Runner of the Month is for someone who has gone above and beyond the requirements for what we would expect a runner at TRR to do. Not only has she pull off a rather spectacular UPGRADE from 5 miles to 10 miles at the Colne Engaine Run whilst lots of other people were doing the complete opposite, Running a PB. but she rocked up to training two days later and joined us for a 10k. For the last month or so she’s been slaving away over a hot sewing machine (I don’t know if these things get hot) making G1 some bean bags for our version of Sharon’s “Beat the Marker” session only to THEN find out we’ll be joined by G2 and may need more.
Annabel Marriott.
Mens,
Nominated again this month as his long running adventure cross over from July and into August.
In July he completed 6 consecutive days of 50k plus running, with 4 more into August. An amazing achievement, especially in the heat.
Here are the stats from his 10 days of running.
Official distance: 523.65km (325.38 miles) which was an Average pace: 10:50/mile
Official time: 58 hours 40 minutes and 24 seconds
4 x 1st places , 5 x 2nd places , 1 x 3rd place
He is always smiling and positive at club and very supportive and passing on his wealth of knowledge onto other runners
Andy Goodson.
