Runner of the Month – March 2026

Female Winner

This lady has had an outstanding March both on and off the road. She has put in some serious mileage and produced some incredible performances, while still giving so much back to the club behind the scenes.

She kicked off the month at the Grizzly, supporting Lynda, finishing in a fantastic 5:24. As if that wasn’t enough, She also organised accommodation for the weekend and cooked a meal for around 10 people, as well as arranging a group meal for everyone attending the Grizzly weekend – a huge effort that really shows her commitment to the club.

The following week She smashed the Essex 20, achieving a massive PB by 13 minutes, setting a new club record, and  Silver Standard. She then followed this up the next week at the Dave Wright 15, where she again delivered a PB and another Silver Standard performance.

Alongside all of this, She continues to work tirelessly behind the scenes as our Membership Secretary, and with March being one of the busiest months for renewals, her dedication has been invaluable.

Sharon Hardwicke

Male Winner

This runner took on the infamous and muddy Grizzly race in March and impressed many with his speed and ability, finishing an incredible second for the club with a time of 03:49:16.

Unfortunately, he had to withdraw from the Essex 20, but as a sign of his mental strength he regrouped, went home, found another 20-mile race, and recently achieved a seven-minute PB at the Lydd 20 Mile in Kent with a time of 02:42:53.

At the Dave Wright 15, he also achieved a PB in 01:56:13.

This runner is becoming an impressive endurance athlete. Regularly appearing with significantly fewer items of clothing than most, this month’s somewhat scantily clad ROTM is…
