Upcoming Events
- Finish Line Fund Virtual Relays – this year’s virtual event takes place on Saturday 11 April 2026 from 9:30am. Each runner completes as much distance as they can in 30 minutes, with all distances combined to contribute to our team total. You can run anywhere, then share your distance with our team captain, Claire White, so everything can be collated. We’re currently looking for one more runner to fill either the 3:00pm or 3:30pm slot – once that’s covered, we can open it up to additional runners. Please speak to Claire White, who has done a great job organising the team.
- TRR will be supporting Markshall parkrun on Saturday 11 April. Thank you to everyone who has already come forward – we’ve filled a range of roles including marshals, finish tokens, car park marshals and pacers. If you’re still able to help, please speak to Rob Hankey.
- Our next New Members Evening is on Tuesday 14 April. We already have Simon Peters, Nicole Rayner and Rachel Newenham interested in becoming Run Leader Supports. If anyone else would like to get involved as an RLS, please message Angela Dellar or speak to your group Run Leader.
- The first race of the Maldon 5k Handicap Series is Thursday 23 April – a few more volunteers are needed. Please speak to Ben Hall or Michelle Edwards to get your name on the roster.
- The Halstead Marathon takes place on Sunday 10 May, and TRR will once again be providing the loudest and most energetic water station on the course. Michelle Edwards has kindly offered to coordinate the team again this year. It’s always a good day out and a chance to support fellow TRR runners, as well as one of the best running events in the county. Please speak to Michelle if you can help..
- The Ekiden Relays are on Sunday 5 July 2026. Chris Gardiner has started to gauge interest – please see the message on the TRR Community WhatsApp Announcements page.
TRR Annual Membership
- You should have received a Google Form to renew your membership for the coming season. Please take a moment to complete and submit it, which will save Sharon having to chase responses. Even if you don’t plan to rejoin, you still need to complete the form, as the questions will adjust based on your response.
