Runner of the Month – February 2026
Ladies Winner
This lady is a true inspiration… she has set herself a target and she has worked hard on her own training and with her strong determination and her perseverance it clearly paid off for her this month.
Not only achieving a CR at Victoria Park Half on 1st Feb, she went on two weeks later to run Seville Marathon, not only improving her own CR set in Sept last year, she set a new PB, plus also knocking off 3 minutes giving her a better time for her goal of obtaining a GFA place for a London 2027 place. She also recently ran her fastest parkrun for 3 years!
We are super proud of this lady who inspires us all
Julia Bawden
Men’s Winner
This runner continued his excellent start to the TRR season with a standout performance in February, setting a PB and achieving a Gold Standard at the Great Bentley Half Marathon with a superb time of 1:31:41.
It marks his third PB since the start of the TRR season in November, adding to PBs already achieved at parkrun and over the 5-mile distance. Along the way he has also secured two Gold Standards – one at the Great Bentley half and another at the Witham Boxing Day 5.
Methodical and disciplined in his training, he approaches sessions with focus and purpose. His consistency and commitment to his training are clear to see week after week, and he’s always quick to encourage others during training.
Reliable, focused, and always putting in the effort, he continues to set a great example in G4.
