Olympic Park 10k
Simon Peters, Keen to get another 10k attempt in at the standard after missing silver at the Colchester Stampede a few weeks ago, thought I would be alone until I saw a very welcome smile from fellow G3 team mate Sally Banyard. Better together we both achieved our goals TRR support does it again. PB and silver std 00:45:36
Sally Banyard, After learning the Colchester 10k route was short last week, I didn’t want the gold standard and CR I’d achieved so when I learned my time was null & void I wasn’t that disappointed. It did, however, set off a pig headed desire in me to say ‘bollocks to you’ and achieve it elsewhere, so I did. Gold standard, club record & first in age at the very well organised Olympic Park. The lead cyclists knew where they were going too, which was helpful. Lots of kind words this past week from the TRR gang, very grateful for that. I don’t suppose I’ll have the record for long, but long enough to see my name in the TRR hall of fame and bore my entire family with it! PB, gold std and CR 00:50:20

Stort 5 and 10
Annabel Marriott, A good day for doing the Stort 5, but unfortunately I’d registered for the 10 miles. I struggled with the heat and the ruts, but it was wonderful to hear Sue and Simon cheering me through the finish. 02:10:55
Sue Long, “I started off doing the 10 mile race. It was hot and I was struggling because of the heat. So I decided to come in at 5 miles.
Hats off to Annabel and Simon Scott who both completed the 10 miles. They done so well in hot conditions. Simon’s face said it all at the end. He said it was horrible and wouldn’t to it again 🤣 I know he will 😂” 1:08:19
