Andrew Goodson, “What a day! Target was sub 24 so 21:30 was an amazing time. Saturday was hot, the night was cold, but I think I got water and feeding strategy ok. Felt tired around 90 miles in, but the person I fell into running with and Emma got me round the final part. And after the medal was on my neck, I skipped back to the car!”

Start was delayed due to a swarm of bees on the course, stinging the marshal standing there.
They had to change the route, which they did very quickly and being that it was a hot morning the shorter course was a bonus!
Another bonus was I didn’t come in last!”
Annabel Marriott, Last minute bees on course hazard saw a diverted, shortened route. Quite happy to leave it at 9 miles in the heat today. 01:45:02

Halstead marathon
Chris Newenham, What an amazing experience, a beautiful course, a bit hilly but really enjoyed the whole experience. BUT far and away the best bit was the amazing TRR water station – must be the best one in the world and just the tonic when flagging (at mile 3 and 14 :)). Thank you all for your amazing guidance and support. 04:08:50
Katy Denny, TRR are the absolute best! Just blown away about being part of the ladies team who won county gold with Morven and Simone. What a day! 03:56:17
