Welcome all.

Welcome to our guest Alex joining us for his 2nd week.

Late result from last weekend, he was still recovering!

Escape From Meriden.

Nic Vincent, running 86 miles in 24hrs chained to James.

“An extremely mad race starting just outside Coventry with up to 36hours to get as far away from the start as possible. Finished in Stevenage before blisters stopped play.  Oh did I mention the chained element. This is an event completed as a pair joined at the wrist by a 1m chain.”

Park run results from the weekend.

Maldon park run pacing team and volunteers.

Thank to Chris Gardiner for sorting this out. And to every who paced or volunteered on the day.

Another great TRR parkrun takeover… Amazing turnout with 19 TRR pacers from 20 minutes right through to 38 and volunteers helping out elsewhere from the club. Such a great buzz! Next one will be in March, if you’ve not been involved before then come along to that one. Don’t worry if you’ve not paced before, you’ll find it really is easy to do and very rewarding and you’ll be fully supported too,

Annabel Marriott, “First attempt at timekeeping – luckily Len was there to keep me in check”

Len Marten, “I love parkrun me. It’s brilliant. I like to help out and I can do all the jobs. Like all of them.

At Great Notley they won’t let me do Timekeeping because I like to talk to everyone about how great parkrun is.

I get distracted and mess it up. Like, always. They didn’t know that at Maldon Prom when they made me Timekeeper. I only missed two people, which was good for me. The Great Notley team still won’t let me do Timekeeping.”

Kimberley Hall, “Love love loved that! First time I was able to pace! 36 mins and watch said 35.58. Yay!”

Dave Cassin, “Nice relaxed run pacing at 28 minutes. Came in a little early but I had a few park runners with me all the way round aiming for 28 minutes. Felt pretty good about bringing them in a little early and managed to get them to race me into the funnel at the finish. Great morning with everyone volunteering. Felt great to give something back.”

Alex Hadley, “Pacing 35. Managed to get someone under 35 and was lovely to give something back. Also, tried to sell the club to the gentleman too!”

Great Notley, parkrun

Rob Hankey, finishing in 9th place, also helped out with setup and barcode scanning. 00:21:48

Michelle Edwards, Walked with friends, one who was doing her 250th parkrun.

Essex county xc at Writtle college, on Saturday afternoon.

Ladies managed to get a full team out, finishing 6th out of 18 teams in division 2.

Morven, 42. Rachel Newenham, 100. Sue Long, 133 and great to see Zoe 134 position.

The men had 2 runners out, so not a complete scoring team.

Chris Newenham, finished 217th (about 20th from last 😱) – nobody told me it would be so hard 🙄😂

and Edward Skinner, finishing in 224th position.

NESS xc league.

We had 37 runners out enjoying the mud and water. Ladies finished 1st and men 2nd in league B, giving us a combined finish of 1st place on the day. Which put us level in 1st place with Springfield at the top of league B.

Great TRR support as always at the end!
