Runner of the month July.
Men,
Having recently joined the club he has been getting progressively quicker, and taking on the brave move to join Group 4. Since joining the group, he has been training really hard. Which allowed him to achieve a park run PB and M5K PB. Finishing 9th in the final standing. He stood for 20 minutes in the torrential rain at Ekiden (he was the only runner in that position)
He has also looked at his diet as part of his training and you can see how he has been inspiring his family and making them part of his running journey too.
Stuart Collett
Ladies,
This lady is a regular at club sessions and is always super supportive in her group, stepping forward to become a valuable RLS, always openly willing and offering to help.
Since joining the club, we have seen her quietly and calmly going from strength to strength.
She has had some fantastic achievements over recent months. This month has been no different and sees her gain yet another PB, this time at Clacton Parkrun. Not only gaining extra points for the ladies team challenge but giving her a grand total **of 7 PBs and 4 Club Standards* in the last 5 months. Her calmness, determination and strength continue to inspire us.
She can be regularly seen representing the club as a regular volunteer at Maldon5K, Tiptree 10, and Parkrun takeovers, helping and marshalling whenever she can.
We are pleased she won a T10 ballot place and look forward to supporting her and other ballot winners as she represents the club on home ground.
We are super proud of this lady and her achievements, who also embodies the club’s ethos, gives back, and supports her group and her club. –
