Sue Long, “Elevation 528ft, 0:1:17;56

I did just over 6 and half miles, I think there was a slight issue with the Marshalling at certain points of the route. I really liked the route. It was hilly in places 🙂 Good for the elevation challenge.”

Fortitude Denbies 10 hour challenge

Event consisting of 10 laps in 10 hours, on the hour, of either a 3,4 or 5 mile distance. The route was truly stunning set in the Denbies vineyard estate and would highly recommend for someone wanting to try an ultra for the first time or someone wanting to try something different!. Myself, Lee & Stuart opted for the 3 mile route. Positive for the ladies team is that there was only 1 hill on the route so elevation was only 574ft – The negative for the ladies team is that was per 3 mile lap so we amassed 5745ft each, so 11,490 ft between us – Not a bad weekends work! PS Completed on the back of a serious bout of Man Flu all week!!

Lee Kerrison, 05:35:10

Chris Harding, 06:43:10

Stuart Peace, Lovely run (5:33:02 running time)

Runner of the month, May.

Female:  – she has had a PB at parkrun, Mayday 10 PB (01:44:59) , PB at Colchester Half and HBO PB.

She’s also marshalled at the Colchester Stampede 10k.

Claire has pushed herself for these goals and she has also become a more confident runner for this. She has gone from running on a treadmill to being a fully participatory member of TRR. She has been helped by Craig for pacing during the Colchester Half.

She’s also had a nice chatty trail run in the CoRunnation with Craig, Alex and Jayne.

In the last few days her excitement and thanks to TRR is palpable as she got accepted for the 2024 London Marathon.

She is an easy nomination because she features in nearly every parish notices each week. Which is quite an amazing uplift from a treadmill at home!

Claire Howard!

Male:

He has shown brilliant determination and dedication in regaining his fitness over the last few months after being really poorly earlier in the year. he is super supportive and encouraging to all his fellow members in the group and other runners, both in club and at events.

Challenging himself to his first Grizzly run, a Trail Half marathon, and going on to smash a PB at Parkrun last month and his 10k PB at HBO last week together with his return back with Group 2 clearly endorses his fantastic progress.

It’s absolutely fabulous to have him back with Gp2 and look forward to seeing his next achievements 👏”
