Note from Rob: wondering what Tim is referring to when he mentions ‘Cowell’? The parkrun ‘Cowell Challenge’ is a popular milestone for “parkrun tourists” that involves completing a 5k parkrun at 100 or more different locations worldwide. Cancer Research UK London Winter 10k

  • Katie Rawlinson, 00:58:01 (PB), “A very, very wet run in London with Sam. Great event, better in the sunshine and dry!!

Seville Marathon

  • Julia Bawden, 04:44:26 (PB & Club Record), “Flattest marathon in Europe apparently, but still found it tough! Very pleased with PB and CR.

NESS XC League – Race 5 Gosfield School

Hosted by Braintree & District Athletics Club, it was a very wet and cold day with 12 men and 2 ladies from TRR taking on a very muddy course around Gosfield School and Broak’s Wood.

On the day our men’s team finished third, whilst our ladies team finished fifth due to one missing runner, thereby incurring a 56 point penalty. Overall, TRR were placed fourth overall on combined men and ladies scores.

NESS XC Race 6

  • The sixth and final NESS XC race is this Sunday in Wix near Manningtree, Essex. Juniors start at 10:00am and adults at 10:45am. Distance for adults is approximately 5 miles. More details are on our website here. Please note that there is very LIMITED PARKING – please car share where possible.

Colne Engaine, 5 & 10 mile Fun Run

  • This popular fun run takes place 12 April 2026. Half of the places have been sold, so be quick if you want to secure a place – click here to enter. Volunteers are also needed. Our very own Len Marten is the Race Director, with Michelle Edwards and Rob Hankey providing support. Speak to either Len, Michelle, or Rob if you can help.

Maldon 5k Handicap Series 2026

  • Our popular 5k series sold out all 150 places in just six minutes, with another 150 places on the waiting list! Well done to Rob Hankey and his team. We still have some volunteer places to fill – please speak to Jayne Vernon if you can help. And if you would like to run one of the races please refer to our club policy for details about how to register your interest.
