Lovely course, great support and some nice bling and a t-shirt; so ultimately worth it! Definitely be back, maybe when it’s raining or snowing!”

Len Marten,

“Not wanting wear one of those Springfield Strider bin bag hi-vis’ I made my own and made sure people knew that it was a Tiptree Road Runner helping them out 😉 A lot of fun keeping an eye out for chums on what has to be one of the hottest events I think I’ve attended. Everyone was great out there, both proud and impressed in equal measure.”

Katy Denny, “Went a lot better than expected in the heat, and I was chuffed to pace myself sensibly enough to push a bit at the end. Couldn’t quite beat my PB but was within a minute! And over 12 mins faster than last year!

Awesome to have Pete Banks and Carl cheer me through the finish, and to see the other TRRs too, legends the lot of them!” 01:51:11

Phil Nicholls, Pacing Charlie. He says thanks for all the support and kind messages from TRR. 02:07:21

Julia Bawden, “Very pleased to have just finished on one of the hottest days of the year! Came 3rd in my age group, but 2nd in V60 Essex Champs – happy with that. Great to have the support of other TRRs, both running and volunteering. Total Ascent: 423ft.” 02:21:43

Kerry Marsh, What a scorcher…. Nice to see a few fellow TRR runners there. Thanks to Len for being our support crew and great photos as always. I even remembered to smile! 02:23:23

Not the T10

For those not sure what we’re talking about, the Tiptree 10 is the TRR club race we’ll be hosting for 600 runners in October. This Sunday we’ll have the ‘Not T10’, a social, fun or raced run (however you’d like to run it) with a 10 mile T10 route and a 5 mile out and back option all finishing together with cake and prizes in this room at the end.

Looking forward to seeing those of you who have entered or who have kindly volunteered to help. We’ve set up a WhatsApp groups the runners and the volunteers. If you’re not on either and have completed an entry form, please message Katy and she’ll add you.

If you’re wanting to run, we’ll post links to the entry form for both 5 miles and 10 miles on all the WhatsApp groups tonight. Entries by Friday would be really helpful. Saturday 5pm is the final cut off. We’re now allowing runners to bring a guest for either the 5 or 10 miles runs too, subject to them being able to confidently run the distance and completing an entry form.

Morven will be a roving runner on the 10-mile course to support on the ground on the day. We are seeking one more volunteer to help on the day – a tail cyclist. Volunteers to Katy or Angela please.

Track training.

Friday 29th September at Braintree. WhatsApp message to follow soon.

T10

Please volunteer to help out on the day your opportunity to give back to the club and help to keep this the amazing race that it is.

ROM

Ladies:

This lady is super supportive and encouraging not only in her Group but to all members of the club.

She has been on a mission over recent months, playing her part in contributing to the Chairman Challenge collating elevation and never giving up.

She recently smashed her long-standing 5k PB at the Essex Champs 5k..💪⭐️ A fantastic achievement!

She is consistently representing the club and wearing her TRR colours at numerous events near and far across the country

A valuable volunteer at the Maldon 5k series and a committed member of the club, always willing to help out. A fantastic example of “giving back”
