Julia Bawden, “Four laps around a very foggy and frosty Olympic Park with a whole host of Santas for company.

Total ascent: 223 Feet (unfortunately not as much as the boys at Richmond!)”

Southend Rudolph Race

Alex Hadley, Craig Vernon and Clare Howard running together in around 54.10 Which was a PB for Clare!

It was minus 6 degrees, so very cold. But good fun running with Alex and Craig

David Randall Foundation (DRF) Santa Fun Run

“Total Ascent 144ftThe route was the old Maldon parkrun route.  Hard running in a Santa suite as I had to keep holding up my trousers with one hand as they kept falling down towards the end 🤣 Fun though.”

Richmond Park 10k, hilly 2 lap course.

“Chairman’s challenge 344ft total ascent -6 starting temp. What the hell am I doing here? Nice little run around the park to get some nice elevation for our illustrious leader.”

This Saturday, Essex league xc 17th Dec at Apex corner, Hockley. Details on fb, Do the parkrun as a warm up, brunch and xc!

Next Tuesday will be Simon T’s, Christmas fun run. Drinks and buffet at the Press club afterwards. Cash only please.

We will meet outside the club plenty of parking out the front.

Thank you to all at Tiptree Running Club for choosing to support Essex Dementia Care.  Your fantastic donation will help us to continue to support people with dementia to maintain an active and social lifestyle by providing stimulating, active and supportive environments as well as emotional support for those with dementia and their carers.

The young people enjoy helping and interacting with the runners at the water stations of your Tiptree 10 event.

The funds will be used to benefit the whole group so we can continue to offer new, safe and exciting adventures for everyone.  Some of the funds will help the 2 young people from our Scout group who have been selected for the 2023 World Scout Jamboree in South Korea, which is an amazing opportunity. Thank you once again and we look forward to helping you again at next year’s event.

In total we have been able to donate £3600 from this year’s event.

With the help of the fund matching campaign £4600 has been received by local charities and community groups, thanks to all our hard work… and Giving Back!!

 

2022-23 League

New league started now so please submit your results to get league points details are on our website. We now have a new tick box at the bottom, you can submit a result but not have it read out if you wish. Still get league points.

Club standard and pb claims.

Regarding club std’s, still a few of claiming std even though you have already archived it. You can only archive a colour once (bronze/silver or gold in your age group) you either move up to the next std or change age groups. They are all recorded on the website and it is updated monthly.

Please also check your pb’s before making a claim on this also, it’s on the results page on the website, which is updated monthly.
