Stacy Hember, “Lovely route with lovely TRR members present and pass. It’s great to have pub stops on the way round, whereby you have to stop to get your bonuses’ It’s the furthest I’ve run for 4 months, well run walk! 😄”03:29:53
Midnight marathon
Lee Kerrison, “Chairman’s elevation challenge 4400ft.
Love the fact that this snatched this months win from the over confident ladies. It then gave us the decisive sixth win and overall victory. There’s always next year girls.xxx”
Chris Harding, Last minute decision to pop down to the South Downs way to run with Mr Kerrison. Well organised event with a lovely bit of bling, highly recommend. Pretty happy with the time given lack of training and the 4400ft elevation on route – Nice little 8800ft for the mens team! Wouldn’t suggest driving home straight after though!

ROM July.
Ladies:
At the Olympic parks 10k, with support from Alex and Clare she was so happy with a PB of two minutes! Fastest ever 10 km! She came 4th in her age category with a time of 01:00:37.
And a week later another amazing performance at the Ipswich Twilight 10k where she shaved a further two minutes off the previous week’s 10 km PB, She gave it everything even in the pouring rain and bagged a time of 00:58:45.
Another PB by 1 minute, Ran with the amazing Chris, Simone and Kerry! Amazing support as always. Helped by Dave, Rachel and Simon as well at the end at Mersea Island parkrun.
Lots of achievements in the month of July but it’s the levels of enjoyment and running with chums that wins it for us. She is a great member of G1 and always chatty and supportive of her fellow club members.
Kim Hall
For the men.
Having run the Saltmarsh 75 as a continuous run finishing at 1.30am Sunday morning. Overcoming a tough mental challenge to keep going knowing he would soon see his family and friends, he battled against long grass and at times it was impossible to run at all. Despite all this he finished in 3rd position.
He then followed this up with a 50k pb and a win 2 weeks later.
He is always supportive in group 3 and other groups he joins.
Andy Goodson.
