Boston marathon.
Emma Goodson, “Well I did it! Boston marathon – the most iconic marathon on their 100th anniversary of the start being at Hopkinton. It was brutal. And my slowest marathon! there was snow when we got there! But it was 32 degrees on the day- bit like London 2018. So I decided to let the time go & enjoy the experience- to ensure I got my 6-stars! I did it- I’m now in the abbots world major 6 star hall of fame- (am I the first TRR to do so?)
Thanks for all the love and support. TRR made it super special with all the voice notes etc! And thanks to Andy of course for being my biggest champion.” 05:17:34

London Marathon
Simon Gill, It was a great experience and smashed all my time goals, so nice to see so many TRR faces around the course it really helped. PB and Bronze std 03:37:16
STEVE HART, It was by far the worst preparation for a marathon I’ve experienced & wasn’t sure if I would be able to run. I love the London marathon & knew I’d just have to turn up & find out. I had to look after myself by running a measured & controlled race. I settled into a nice little rhythm that I held on to & even managed to push on in the last few miles, so happy with a negative split. Once again London didn’t disappoint. I had a great day out! Thank you to TRR for the love & support I’ve needed recently. Bronze std 03:51:46
Dave Cassin, Amazing event, and such a great experience. A day I will never forget! The support from the crowds was just superb and to see familiar faces on the way round really helps carry you along. It really wouldn’t be the amazing experience without it. Coupled with all the support you only see after you’ve finished. All the messages of support on all the many What’s App groups. Reading through those after a tough run really helps make it all worthwhile. TRR rocks hard. Thank you to each and every one of you. I love you all!!! PB 04:24:15
Jess Archer, 4hr 28 min
Susan Archer, PB, CR and Bronze std 04:29:09

Kimberley Hall, Oh my gosh the best day ever with my girls. The support from the club was absolutely incredible and I’m so grateful. Was awesome to see Ben and my Millie too. Such an emotional day – couldn’t have done it without Alex and Clare so grateful for them both. PB 05:35:28
Alex Hadley, “What can I say? It was bloody hard and I was completely done in at the end – I’m being polite!!!
It was much tougher than I could have ever imagined, but I was so truly grateful to have run it with Kim and Clare. I struggled from mile 18 onwards but the lovely girls got me round.
The TRR support on course was fantastic and we are so enormously lucky to belong to such an amazing club. Will I do it again – right now…No!!” PB 05:36:56
Clare Howard, “Well Omg i actually did it!!
That was incredibly tough and there were times I wanted to give up. I’ve had the privilege to run this with Alex Hadley and Kimberley Hall whose support and encouragement was unwavering.
The fantastic support along the way from Anna Spanner , Stacy Hember Jodie Wells, Len Martin, Lisa Allum and Sally Banyard made is even more special as the TRR family was out in force” PB 05:37:49

Runner of the month March.
Lady.
What a month! 2 PBs, 2 club records, 1 gold standard, 1 silver standard and 1 Essex champs gold medal.
She attended 3 of the TRR sessions in the month too! What an inspirational month of running…
And all that in the month before she raced a marathon (Brighton on Sunday 7th April).
An amazing month and inspiration to so many of us, by showing you can still get PBs, even if you’ve been running for a while. Lorraine “The Inspiration” Mills.
