Saltmarsh 75. 76.6 miles
Andrew Goodson, Brilliant medal, perfect weather, great crews at the aid stations. But the path was impossible to run for so much. Nearly quit at 50 miles but seeing family, and TRR friends lifted the spirits, as did knowing that our amazing chair Mr Lawes would be joining me for the last 18 miles. Together we made great progress in acquiring and cementing 4th place. Then Mark got to sample what we had to suffer and it is safe to say we had some choice language on the sea wall from Tollesbury to Salcott. But I finished 4th so must have got something right! 16:38:07

Runner of the month June.
Ladies,
This lady has been going from strength to strength with her running recently.
She has racked up a PB at Maldon Parkrun last month getting herself a Bronze standard too. This was then followed by another PB at Friday Night 5 and another Bronze standard, too.
Although not an official event culminating in yet another PB at the club 5k TT time trial, smashing her Parkrun PB by 2 mins!
Louisa is a committed, very supportive and encouraging member of group 2 and has been a valuble regular volunteer at the Maldon 5k series, a fantastic example of “giving back”.
Louisa Quilter
Men,
This gentleman is a very supportive member not only to Group 2 but to the whole club. A great RLS fully of encouagement and support.
Although he has not been able to attend Tuesday training as much as he would like recently, he did take part in 2 brutal events last month including the Fortitude Denbies 30mile and the Cotswold 20 mile trails, achieving a total of 9,108 ft of elevation towards the chairmans challenge for June.
He is a massive support to the club behind the scenes in his role as club treasurer and is a true asset to the committee. He does a fantastic job keeping the club finances in order and is also a vital part of the Tiptree 10 sub-committee with Sharon and Rob.
A true example of our club ethos of ” giving back”
Chris Harding.
