Welcome all! Guest this week, Claire White will be joining G2.

JP Morgan Corporate Challenge

Len Marten, “I ran with my old boss Muna who weirdly doesn’t know how far or how fast she runs. She’s not on Strava and doesn’t own a running watch. She runs for fun, go figure 😉

The race distance is weird and that extra 500m or so throws me off. It’s like a parkrun and an extra bit.

We ran pretty well and consistently weaving in and out of the of the 7,000 or so participants.

Final corner she got clipped by someone who went wide for the finish dash and hit the deck hard, grazing her hand and her knee (those leggings will need to go in the bin!)

Great Wagu Burger in the LSEG hospitality area afterwards.

Team LSEG had 160 finishers and we had an average finish time of 32:24” 00:35:52

Great Bentley Friday 5

Aaron graves, Wet wet wet great support by the wet Lawes family did I mention it was very very very wet. 00:28:27

Maldon.

Edward Skinner, 00:26:00

Tim Huxtable, 00:29:15

Steve Swainbank, 00:33:56

David Watson, Horrible, torrential, wind and rain with slippery conditions underfoot but enjoyed running alongside Steve Swainbank. 00:33:57

Anita Leaver, “This was my 250th parkrun.  I came 1st in my age category. It was extremely wet!!” 00:39:27

Leavesden Country parkrun

Len Marten, “So despite taking photos of the marshals on this three lapper I still managed a 33min 23s time.

Can we pretend that I was so spectacularly fast and that’s why I finished in 34th position, and this had nothing to do with 44 finishers they had.

As this was within 10mins of where my Mum lives she did her first ever marshaling/volunteer role at a parkrun. Despite the rain, she really enjoyed herself!” 00:33:23

Wickford parkrun

Aaron Graves, I did question my sanity as I stood under a tree with driving horizontal rain twice in 24hours but skins water proof I’m not the only mental one there 200 others but some were prepared with coats me clearly not. 00:17:55

Great Notley

Annabel Marriott, Pacing 38 minutes. Not too bad at 5 seconds under. 00:37:55

Holkham 10k

Zoe Bardell, “This was a very undulating, multi-terrain course around the grounds of the stunning Holkham Hall.

It was a very well organised event” 01:11:24

Ridley Round

Alex Hadley, Never ever again. Got drenched, got lost, drenched a bit more,  gave up hope, would have called an uber if they existed round there; ran a bit more, got drenched again – finally found the end. . On the plus side we all had a lot of laughs and the countryside was beautiful, plus the wine and curry  I had later didn’t count as we had run a million miles! 03:44:00

Kimberley Hall, Beautiful route but the pouring rain and running around in circles trying to find our way started to grate on me at 10 miles. Hats off to Ben who finished the route. We didn’t and ran back along the road for four miles as we were all hungry and cold. Was lot of fun though. Told the run director this when we got back but he still submitted our time which seems wrong really  as we didn’t make it to the end 03:59:28

Jayne vernon, “The worst run ever, soaked, lost and sobber. We ran about 3 miles out of our way. After this run, cross country will be fun and I never thought I would say that. Thanks to Alex, Craig, Kim and Ben for making some of the run fun 😁”04:00:38

Sharon Hardwicke, 04:08:00

Stacy Hember, “Omg! What a wet run,  it hardly stopped raining all morning! The weather is usually hot for the Ridley Round, however the rain didn’t put us off and it was lovely to run with other fellow TRR’s.  Instead of having alcohol on the way round we would have had hot drinks, if we didn’t need to get back in a decent time!

Still awaiting for final times after deductions but there is a technical problem.” 04:08:25

Sue Long, Wet, wet and more wet. Despite the weather. Part of me enjoyed this event. We managed to go in all the selected pubs along the route 🙂 We get bonuses added on to our finish times for visiting all the pubs but they hadn’t been published when I submitted my results. 04:20:30

Ben Hall, “lovely weather conditions for a leisurely Saturday trail run and a great chance to try out the waterproofability of my running jacket : which lasted about 5 minutes in torrential down pour before I was sodden.

Lovely run between helpfully punctuated pit stops at Ridley pubs

Started out with Alex, Jayne, Craig and Kim ; who all succumbed to the elements half way round, so ended up finishing with a chap called Neil, a real inspiration as he managed not only to run this and more frequently ultra marathons despite having cerebral palsy , he was also 8 pints and 20 miles further along having run a park run and then ran to the start! What an inspiration. Great TRR support , and strangely loved that one  great event” 04:45:57

Simon Peters, What’s better than competing in a race with the TRR team…spending the whole day competing in multiple races with the TRR team.  What day, we had sunshine, wind, rain and finally thunder, we had grass, gravel, road and rubber underfoot, it was truly a grand day out for TRR! Everybody ran brilliantly and the support was incredible on a tough course those cheers where really needed. Thank you to Chris G. for organising and the whole TRR team for the best day!! 10km 00:49:09

Ryan Naidoo, 10km”152/252 male  – Run #2 of the day and it got hard towards the end.
